Advice from Fellow Studio Owners

November 8, 2023

I’m really excited to see several new studios opening throughout the country, that’s a great sign for our industry. The ceramic arts industry is all about having families, making memories, and having a good time. And the world needs more of that. I want to make sure that every studio owner out there has the resources they need to really do a great job and make this a profitable venture for themselves and let their passion shine through to the world.

Owning a business can be like standing on an island all alone, or it can be like joining a party with a lot of fun people there. To join in the party, you need to surround yourself with like-minded people and some who have great ideas to share with you. So I encourage all of you if you own a studio, please look at joining CCSA. That is the Contemporary Ceramic Art Studios Association.

It is a group of amazing people who work in the ceramic arts industry, and they’ve done a lot to share. They can help you take giant leaps in your business that would have taken you a very long time to do if you were that one person standing on the island. Please take a look at joining the organization, there’s also a great conference coming up in September that will open the doors to a lot of new ideas. And as we’ve seen this industry has been really leaning in and making ways that this industry can thrive and grow.

So set yourself up for success, check out CCSA. If you have questions about the organization, I’m here to help. I’ve been a supplier member of the organization for over eight years now. There’s a Facebook chat group that has a lot of really great information to share, and people are always willing to answer questions.

If this sounds like a place you’d like to be and have some fun, please let me know. I’d be happy to connect you with the right folks. You can also check out CCSAonline.com and please visit PYOPAccounting.com. We’d love to help you add another layer of success to your organization. Make sure that your business grows a little fast since it’s possible. I’m Donna Bordeaux, I hope you have a great day. Please follow our channel for more information and our Facebook page, thank you.

Creativity and CPAs don’t generally go together.  Most people think of CPAs as nerdy accountants who can’t talk with people.  Well, it’s time to break that stereotype.  Lively, friendly, and knowledgeable can be a part of your relationship with your CPA as demonstrated by Donna and Chad Bordeaux.  They have over 50 years of combined experience as entrepreneurial CPAs.  They’ve owned businesses and helped business owners exceed their wildest dreams.   They have been able to help businesses earn many times more profit than the average business in the same industry and are passionate about helping industries that help families build great memories.
