DENVER, Colo., August 20, 2026. Calculated Moves, PC, the firm behind PYOP Accounting, has been named Small Firm of the Year at the Xero Awards US 2026, announced live at Xerocon Denver, Xero's flagship conference for the Americas.
The firm was shortlisted as a national finalist in three categories: Small Firm of the Year, Advisory Innovator of the Year, and AI Champion of the Year. Only three firms in the country are named to each list.
For studio owners, the practical translation is this: the software your books run on is the same platform this firm bet its entire practice on thirteen years ago, when almost no American firm had heard of it. That head start is why you can see what a walk-in weekend actually earned instead of finding out at tax time.
Being early is the oldest habit here. The firm went fully paperless in 1999, moved everything to the cloud in 2012, and now runs AI through bookkeeping, communication and research, which is what earned the finalist nod as AI Champion of the Year.
“To every client who has trusted us with their books, their business, and their dreams: this is your award too. And to our team, who bring more heart to this work than firms ten times our size, I could not be prouder. Thirteen years ago Xero took a chance on America, and we took a chance on Xero. Look at us now.”
The win came with a moment the team will not forget: Xero CEO Sukhinder Singh Cassidy sat down with Donna on camera at the conference to hear the firm's story.
